The AHA moment

She worked with IBM for almost four years as an IT techie in the UK. Parallelly life kept on happening. She got married, had kids, was growing in her career too, but then came a moment that left her pondering on the purpose of her life. She narrates that at the funeral of her grandfather, who passed away at the age of 97, she was amazed to see the number of visitors from far and wide. The visits to pay homage lasted for a few days. There were people coming from far and wide ; some of them she never knew . She wondered about the contribution of her grandfather to other people’s life.

She was jolted from within and questioned her life purpose. She wondered if these many people would remember her as well? Wille she be remembered for good deeds? Is she doing enough to contribute to other people and making their life meaningful? Is she utilizing her knowledge for a bigger goal?

Karti kya ho? (what magic do you do?)

To create an impact and make other people’s life purposeful, she embarked on the journey of coaching and mentoring. She is told that she has a  healing vibe, and there have been episodes where she is asked,” karti kya ho (what magic do you do?)”. She says,” I find much peace when I see someone standing tall and confident after being through shambles. I feel extremely satisfied to nurture a life”.

She says that “no academic degree can teach you the power of healing or help you in giving a meaningful life.”

In order to serve the community and reach out to as many women and children as possible, she started the RKT foundation that caters to NGOs and helps in the healing journey. She feels accomplished when she can provide a positive transformation.

Motivational factors

She says small pleasures of life like enjoying the rains, jumping in the puddles, sipping a hot cuppa, and joyous moments with fairy and friends are what keeps me going and motivated.
